(There are also opportunities to occasionally be a "fill in" student to try out the class). ONGOING CLASSES. Alla Prima is an Italian word for painting "Wet into Wet'' in one to two session. This is a fun class to learn simplicity and spontaneous painting. Each month I coordinate a specific lesson, such as various use of brush strokes. color mixing, values, composition, etc. with demos and one on one help. You will find this an informative class with steps to create a still-life painting using traditional oil or water mixable oils or acrylic paints (your choice). Learn composing a setup, lighting, creating shapes and form, values, color mixing, with information on non toxic materials. We also create landscape paintings that will be from on location and/or photographs. You can work on your own special project or the project of the day that I provide. All levels welcome, some experience helpful. Our style is painterly and spontaneous. Non toxic supplies are simple and inexpensive. Minimum supply list given upon registration.
